God did not establish races.  We collectively are ONE generation - a chosen generation.  Adolph Hitler sold his "classification myth" to the masses and gained approval to murder millions of Jews and other religious groups.

"Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? ..."
Malachi 2:10

DEFINING PEOPLE AS A RACE IS A MAN-MADE INVENTION

The Greek word used contextually for groups of people (in the Bible) is a word meaning generation - not race.  The underlying Greek word for race is that used for an athletic event.

Defining people as a race is a man-made "invention." The Greek text underlying God?s Word tells us we are not a chosen race but a chosen generation. By substituting the word "race" (designed, biblically to refer to athletic events - not man), man has set up a "caste" system denoting skin colors, religious groups, etc., as signs of racial evolution, intelligence and social status. Adolph Hitler sold this "classification myth" to the masses and thus gained their approval to murder millions of Jews and other religious groups, the physically and mentally challenged - those he classified as "racially inferior." In America, people, for years, have discriminated, denying human rights and privileges to those with "nonwhite" skins. God says we are all of the same blood and have equal inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven - IF we turn from sin AND follow Him.   God's Kingdom - and salvation - have nothing to do with skin color, physical attributes or mental capabilities.  "And hath made of one blood all nations of men . . . " "... God is no respecter of persons. But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." (Acts 17:26; 10:34,35) "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?"  (Malachi 2:10)

God did not create different races.  People at the tower of Babel were separated into different languages.  People differ in skin color and physical characteristics AND their relationship with Jesus Christ - whether they are born again or lost, but God does not record that we are different races.  We are His SEED.
Ezra 9:2
For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands ... KJ
Ezra 9:2
They have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, and have mingled the holy race with the peoples around them ... NIV
Ezra 9:2
"For they have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy race has intermingled with the peoples of the lands ... NASV
Ezra 9:2
For they have taken some of their daughters to be wives for themselves and for their sons; so that the holy race has mixed itself with the peoples of the lands ... RSV

BEWARE OF SYNONYMS THAT CONTEXTUALLY CHANGE GOD'S MESSAGE

We must remember that God, the Creator of all things, including you and me, inspired every Word in the Holy Scriptures just as He inspired men to write it.  ("All scripture is given by inspiration of God ..."  [II Timothy 3:16])  When we think we have a better word or easier way to explain a Scripture, we must be very careful that those listening to us know it is our opinion and not as it is written. NOT ALL SYNONYMS/ EXAMPLES FOR A GIVEN WORD CORRECTLY REFLECT GOD?S INTENT.  For example, a car, bicycle and horse are all modes of transportation, but it would be incorrect to say that I drove any of these from Orlando to Jamaica. I flew on an airplane - another mode of transportation. There is a GREAT expanse of water between Orlando and Jamaica. Someone who doesn?t understand this geographical fact might sincerely believe the former untruth; but, he would be sincerely wrong. We must not have any part in altering/misquoting/misapplying God?s Word for any reason: "... If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18,19) "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5,6)

Consider the Word Study below from God's Word:

WORD STUDY COMPARING GENERATION AND RACE

Generation

A set of individuals who share a common ancestor: "This is the book of the generations of Adam ..." (Genesis 5:1); a span of time: "... shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations" (Exodus 40:15); a way of describing creation: "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth ..." (Genesis 2:4); group of people with like beliefs: "But ye are a chosen generation* [not race], a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people ..." (I Peter 2:9); *Greek word genos #1085 (born, generation, off-spring); "But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation** seeketh after a sign ..." (Matthew 12:39) "The book of the generation** of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham." (Matthew 1:1)** not genealogy (count by descent/genealogy #1075-6.)

Jesus descended from no one; He is God and has always been. Note the ONLY times the word "genealogies" is used in the New Testament is in a negative connotation: "Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain." (I Timothy 1:4; Titus 3:9)

Race

A contest: Races were common in New Testament times including chariot, horse and foot racing. The apostle, Paul, often used analogies to competitive events.

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14) "Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?" (Galatians 5:7) "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race* that is set before us." (Hebrews 12:1)

(*Greek word agon #73: a contest, an effort, anxiety, fight, race)

"Know ye not that they which run in a race* run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain." (I Corinthians 9:24)

*Greek word stadion #4712: a measure of distance, a race)

This study is based upon words used in some 5,000 extant manuscripts underlying the King James Bible. These are the texts which have been used throughout known church history. The numbers (1085, 73, etc.) are reference numbers for the traditional Greek text, Textus Receptus, underlying the above English translation. These can be referenced in STRONG?S CONCORDANCE.

Man, in his own pride, knowledge and wisdom, thinks that he can do things better than God has designed.  Man has polluted the words that God has given him by cursing, by using them to complain, to make folly of people with them AND changing the very Word that God gave to holy  men to record:    "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise [Jesus Christ] in your hearts:  Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."  (II Peter 1:19-21)

Man has taken many of the plants God created and made them into harmful drugs which kill untold numbers of people.  People have become addicted to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.  Many have polluted God's institution of marriage with false vows and multiple marriage relationships.  Man has extended the marital privilege of sex for lust with fornication, adultery, homosexuality, incest and pornography.  These are all examples of man's pride in rejecting God; but, ultimate folly of the pride is that of the flesh in the rewriting of God's revelation of Himself - the holy Scriptures:  "... his name is called The Word of God."  (Revelation 19:13)

Reflect on what happened with Adam and Eve and at the Tower of Babel.  In both these instances, man became prideful and decided to do things his way - to exalt himself.  "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."  (I John 2:16)

The Godhead came down to the people, who were at one time of one language, and confused their language because they had been prideful and were exalting themselves, defying God:  "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name ..."  The Godhead confounded their language.  "Go to, let US go down, and there confound their language ..."  Genesis 11:4  Sadly, the people were so hardened in their hearts that they didn't see God's judgment.  They didn't repent.

God has given many warnings in His Word to not change His Word and subsequent repercussions for doing so:  "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you." "... lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."  "... God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book ... God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."  Deuteronomy 4:2, Proverbs 30:6, Revelation 22:18,19.

Confusion abounds among the many Bibles which differ among themselves in thousands of instances.

Has the church become a "Towel of Babel"?  Has the "language" of the church (God's Word) been "confounded" because man has become so prideful in his "language skills" thinking he can express God's Words better than the Creator Himself?

There are thousands of words and much changed doctrine in each of the many "new" versions of the Bible.  Yet, God says:  "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."  Isaiah 55:8

Many are not aware of the fact that in order to obtain a copyright ? on any work, the authors must significantly change what already is in print.  This is according to the laws which control publishers' rights.  Such laws apply to Bibles which are derivative works, the new versions.  Because of these laws, each new version must be significantly changed from what already exists in order to obtain the needed copyright.  This means that God's Word MUST be significantly changed more and more each time a new version comes on the market.

To comply with man's "Derivative Copyright Law," authors and publishers must violate God's "law":  "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought form it ..." (Deuteronomy 4:2, etc.)  "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."  (Revelation 22:18,19)

The copyright law was instituted in the United States in 1790, just a few years after the King James Bible was finalized in the form in which we have for use today - also known as the Authorized Version.  Thus, the King James Bible is copyright free.  (Formatting and study notes are copyrighted; and thus, a copyright notice may be indicated.)  Anyone can copy the entire text - the Scripture verses - without violating man's copyright.  As the chosen generation, we are to take part in preserving God's Word - not in creating a new work which changes what had been preserved.

"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."  (Psalm 12:6,7)
